handmade jewellery making

Shukrullah Ahmadzai started making jewellery 5 years ago. His father took him to his friend’s jewellery workshop as wanted him to learn a skill as well as help the family. Being the eldest son of the family, he has a huge responsibility to provide along side his father for the other siblings who are much younger than him. He is a bright, energetic, confident with a great sense of humor.
Nothing is impossible for him. With this attitude he sees a good future for himself in jewellery making. He likes to set up his own workshop one day as he feels he is one of the best jewellers amongst his peers and has the potential to start his own business. But for now he is saving his every penny toward his wedding. He has been engaged recently and wants to collect enough money to marry her as soon as possible. As Afghan weddings are extravagant and expensive, he feels it will take him a couple of years until he has enough savings to marry his bride.
Shukrullah is a foodie and loves Afghan cousin specials like ashak that is a type of dumplings stuffed with leaks served with tomato and garlic sauce. His mom takes care of him at home, but he also likes to go out with friends to his favorite local restaurant when he gets a chance.
His message to his customers is; “Handmade is special. Appreciate your handmade jewellery and take good care of it.”
